A warm, understated renovation of a prewar apartment in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. The design balances the character of the existing home with a quieter, more contemporary material palette, using warm woods, soft ivory and sand tones, black accents, natural textures, and carefully layered lighting throughout.

In the bedroom, floor-to-ceiling linen drapery softens the tall prewar windows while walnut furnishings, textured upholstery, and warm ambient lighting create a calm and collected retreat. Original architectural details and wood flooring are allowed to remain visible, giving the space a sense of history without making it feel traditional. Throughout the apartment, the same approach carries into the kitchen and living spaces: restrained that feels refined but still relaxed and livable.
